May 28th: Is Canadian Bacon really just ham? And do the Canadian's really pronounce "about" like "aboot?" Well, on June 14th we're sending of god and science to Toronto, ON for the NXNE Music Festival & Conference to give ol' Canada a try. Check out the festival at www.nxne.com.

The Onlys will also be adding a new video to the likes of YouTube, Myspace videos, etc. Stay tuned here for a link to that video when it becomes available.

May 15th: of god and science will also be heading to Tulsa, OK on July 25th for Diversifest. Please check out the festival at www.dfest.com.

March 25th: It was one hell of a fire that hit the beloved Golden West Saloon on Thursday February 28th. It is a tragedy that it's loss was total. And our friends next door at the Launchpad are also down until structural repairs can be completed. Luckily, their outcome was far more favorable then their neighbors.

Nonetheless, the employees are out of work. Now some people are going to work for them. Join of god and science Wednesday, March 26th at The Blackbird Buvette in Downtown with The Dirty Novels, Riptorn, Volume Volume, and The Foxx. It's a benefit show dedicated to those employees of the Launchpad, our friends. 8pm.

Spring '08: So what...the Red Light Cameras were turned back on here in Albuquerque. If you're sad about that (or you're one of those pro-lifers), mourn those fines to come on Friday April 4th at the Factory on 5th St. It's an art show featuring exhibits from Jonathan Perea (who did the album cover art for of god and science), Vincent Van Le, Nikki Zabicki, and Tiffany Romero. Our very own of god and science will be providing some music to accompany. The night gets going at 6pm.

Our Brother Jason is putting together a SXSW day party for the mothership Detach Records. We're paying him nothing... that poor bastard. You'll see the Onlys, our friends from home The Dirty Novels, and some very cool Austin bands Friday afternoon March 14 at Jaime's Spanish Village.

Winter '07: The holidays were spent off the stage and indoors behind large bottles of fine Scotch. But the bottles ran empty... which is a good sign we need to get back to work. Spring show dates are in the works. The Detach ranch is cooking up a day party in Austin for SXSW. Stay tuned for the line-up!

We're very proud to announce that we now have possesion of the newest recordings from The MindySet. This will be a digital release only... the upcoming release date will be posted here first.

of god and science will be at the Launchpad in Albuquerque with VAST on Feb 4th. Other spring dates are also being worked out and will soon be posted.

After a bit of a break and a personnel shake up, The Giranimals can be found back on stage at the Launchpad on Feb 16th. New recordings are on the way.

Fall '07: Tour Dates for of god and science are finally up. Among many other Midwest/East Coast shows, You can catch them on Sept. 28th in Cincinnati for the MidPoint Music Festival.

Video killed the radio star, so turn on your MTV this fall and listen for bits from the new of god and science record in the shows Pimp My Ride, Housebroken, and the MTV Movie Awards.

The Giranimals are back at it with some new songs and regional shows. They too are planning to add some tour dates to the calendar. So check back often.

May '07: By act of congress and unprecedented luck on behalf of the fellas from of god and science, the new self-titled debut album is finally released and in your favorite internet store for purchase. Or, just buy it HERE.

The Giranimals are also back doing shows after Maury and Connie had their newborn. Among those shows was a killer set last month with our beloved Shins at the Historic El Rey Theatre in Downtown Albuquerque. You can also catch them at Puccini's Golden West Saloon with The Album Leaf and Lymbyc Systym Friday May 25th.

April '07: Big things are happening here at the detach ranch. of god and science will see their debut record go to college radio nationwide this month. The release date is set for May 1st, and Friday April 6th we're throwing a party here in Albuquerque at the Launchpad to celebrate. The new record, of god and science, is on pre-sale here.

The Giranimals will play another show with The Shins on April 10th. This time it'll be here in Albuquerque at the historic El Rey Theatre. The show is already sold-out, but you're welcome to bring your protest signs (begging for a bigger venue next time), and hang out on Central Ave. causing traffic problems. Good friends of the detach ranch, the Lowlights, are also on that bill.

The Onlys are recovering from a very busy SXSW week of playing 4 shows in a row. Detach also threw a party that week at Austin's beloved Hole in the Wall showcasing the Onlys, of god and science, and friends from Oklahoma, Student Film.

Mar '07: OK, so we changed the release date for of god and science, but for good reason. The real release date is May 1, 2007 for their first self-titled record. of god and science and the Onlys will both be in Austin for SXSW this year. Check the calendar for show listings.

Last month, The Giranimals had a phenomenal show with The Shins and Viva Voce at the Filmore Auditorium in Denver. If you missed that show you should shoot yourself in the face.

Feb '07: The release date for the new record by of god and science is set for April 17th. Rest assured we will be throwing a party here at home in Albuquerque to celebrate. More on that later... Check the calendar often to see updated tour dates.

The Giranimals are still pregnant, but Connie's due date is approaching quickly. Maury has been busy working on new stuff and the G-men should be back up and running by summer. You can catch them in Denver on Feb 15th at the Filmore Auditorium with The Shins.

the Onlys are nearly finished in the studio and are planning to hit the road again in the Spring. Keep an eye on this page for tour dates.

Jan '07: Good Riddance '06 and bring it on '07. of god and science is booking tour dates for the Spring...so check the calendar often. The new record is likely to be released April 10th. We will celebrate with a party here at home, and a date is being worked out with the Launchpad.

Dec '06: The Onlys have posted a b-sider to their myspace page. Check it out while you can, because they've been writing new stuff. Check the calendar for tour dates.

Nov '06: Believe it or not of god and science have finished their record. The Songs, will be released next year, and the celebration date is still being worked out with the Launchpad here in Albuquerque. This is of god and science's first record. Stay in touch with the Detach calendar for soon-to-be posted tour dates.

The MindySet is also nearly completed and their release date for Bizarro and the Beautiful You will be sometime in early '07. This will be their second effort, and the first to be released on Detach.

the Onlys are busy booking some live shows to preview some of the newest tracks they've been hammering out in the studio since their last tour in support of Limbic System. Check the Detach calendar for their upcoming dates. And certainly don't miss them in Austin at Emos with ...Trail of Dead, Hidden Cameras, Brothers & Sisters, Blood Brothers on Nov 22nd.

Connie and Maury, of the Giranimals, are expecting their 2nd little giranimal, which is due April 3rd. They will be taking time off and writing/recording, and they might play an occasional show between now and then

Sept/Oct '06: So hear's no joke...of god and science, The MindySet are both nearly completed in the studio and have plans on releasing in the near future. Who knows?...maybe it'll be the same night! Either way...it will be a party. And yes...both you and your goth bisexual girlfriend will be invited!

Aug '06: The Giranimals brought in Detach's newest release with their debut. Imperfectly Timed Words is a sweet collection of indie pop tunes styled nicely with vintage and motherly melodies. Check it out! The release party was way cool. of god and science and The MindySet played sets along with our friends from Santa Fe, The Cherry Tempo, who also released a disc that night.

Jul '06: We're proud to announce the newest upcoming Detach release, a debut LP by The Giranimals. The release date is set for Friday, July 21st. And of course, we're throwing a party at Burt's Tiki Lounge in downtown Albuquerque to celebrate. The show will be a shared CD release party for our friends from Santa Fe, The Cherry Tempo. Also on the bill for the night will be The MindySet, and of god and science. The show is free to the 21+ crowd only. Sorry kids, we'll be planning some all-ages gigs for the fall. Check back often.

the Onlys are at home in Austin writing/recording what will be their fourth release. They've also got plans for a new video to accompany those new songs.

May/Jun '06 : Detach Records has been selected as a Panelist for the upcoming Hyperactive Music Festival. The festival runs June 8th-10th in Albuquerque. Be sure to check it out.

the Onlys are helping filmmaker, Jason Waller, with the screening of his indie film "Devil's Cello" at Club DeVille on 6/6/06 in Austin. The film was made in 1997 and actually has a segment with the Onlys performing live, and features three Onlys' songs off of the records 1300 and tune the blue screen. My Education is opening the night at 9:00 pm for pre-screening.

of god and science is getting close to finishing the first record. A line-up addition of Ryan Martino on Drums has put the band in full swing for an upcoming fall release date. Summer shows are being booked as you read... read on.

The MindySet is also near completion of their newest record. Catch them around town to hear the new ones before the release date, which will be announced soon.

Weapons of Mass Destruction are currently working on recording and writing new material.  No shows are currently planned, but these things have a way of magically appearing, so check back to see what's news.

We're back from SXSW, and it'll likely take us some time to recover from the alcohol consumption that took place out there.  Good Times!  Many Thanks go out to our friends from Little Kiss Records for sharing the wealth that the NM Music Commision and the NM Dept of Tourism threw in to get our bands there.
